Hymn - Spirit of the Living God
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mold me,fill me, use me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh
on me.
Prayer - Richard Davis
Let us lift up the saints who helped construct this building - their
faithfulness was a beacon for 120 years, and we hold the memory of
their work as we prepare for the next 120+ years of ministry together.
Lord in your mercy:
Hear our Prayers
For all the church members, who lovingly gave their prayers, pres-
ence, gifts, service and witness in this building, may we hold on to
their legacy and give thanks for the witness they gave to our lives.
Lord in your mercy:
Hear our Prayers
For all the clergy who faithfully led worship and ministry in our
community. Who faithfully preached the gospel of Jesus Christ and
engaged the church to be in ministry with each other and our
community. Lord in your mercy:
Hear our Prayers
For all the weary travelers who found comfort in this building. Who
found peace in the stained glass windows and comfort inside the walls
of this structure. Lord in your mercy:
Hear our prayers
For our community, who looked upon the three towers pointing to the
Triune God and seeing Jesus in the midst of our community through
this building grant them your comfort.
Lord in your mercy:
Hear our prayers
For the Fire Departments of Royse City, Fate, Rockwall, McLendon-
Chisolm and Caddo Mills and for the Police Department of Royse City,
we give thanks for their hard work and dedication, we thank you for
keeping them safe, as they kept our community safe.
Lord in your mercy:
Hear our prayers
Increase, O God, the spirit of neighborliness among us, that through
this loss we may uphold one another, in suffering tend to one another,
and in homelessness, loneliness, or exile befriend one another. Grant us
brave and enduring hearts that we may strengthen one another, until
the disciples and testing of these days are ended, and you again give
peace in our time; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Hymn ....... O God, Our Help in Ages Past
O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from
the stormy blast, and our eternal home!
Under the shadow of Thy throne, Thy saints have dwelt secure; sufficient
is Thine arm alone, and our defense is sure.
A thousand ages in Thy sight are like an evening gone; short as the watch
that ends the night, before the rising sun.
O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come; be Thou our
guide while life shall last, and our eternal home.
Deconsecrating of the Sanctuary - Jon Woodford, Leadership Board Chair
Prayer - Pastor Chris
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom
come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
Hymn - Father, We Adore You
Father we adore You, and we lay our lives before You, how we love You.
Jesus we adore You, and we lay our lives before You, how we love You.
Spirit we adore You, and we lay our lives before You, how we love You.
Benediction - Pastor Chris
With a clear understanding that our God is not confined to buildings
made by human hands, we the people of his church and community,
grateful for our heritage and mindful of the sacrifices of those who
have gone before, dedicate ourselves anew to the service of God in
Spirit and Truth, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit.. Amen.
