This week, we welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Johnna Nichols, to our church family and staff. She has already been hard at work learning our systems and protocols and has joined us for our first Leadership Board Meeting. I’m excited about the experience and passion Johnna has for Jesus and the church, and I hope you will be able to stop by and give her a warm Royse City Methodist Church Welcome.
Administrative Assistant

Hi Friends! My name is Johnna, and I am so excited to be part of the Royse City Methodist Church family!
My husband, Kirk, and I moved to Texas in 2019 with the intention of retiring, but retirement didn’t last long! Before moving to Texas, I spent nearly 35 years in healthcare leadership, including 15 years as a Business Office Director for multiple UC Health Surgery Centers, followed by other leadership roles in Pediatrics and hospital departments.
After moving to Texas, I felt it was time to slow down, explore new opportunities, and discover a new purpose for this chapter of my life. I began volunteering and eventually became the Program and Outreach Coordinator for One Man’s Treasure. This experience allowed me to combine my love of serving others with my passion for building relationships and supporting meaningful outreach. One of my favorite parts of this role was working with Missions, Outreach, and Philanthropy Directors at churches throughout the Dallas area.
My family is my world! Kirk and I have been together for 30 years, and we have one amazing son, Bradly, and three wonderful grandchildren. Our six-year-old twins, Oakley and Charlie, and our 13-year-old granddaughter, Zoey, are the loves of my life! I absolutely love spoiling them, but most of all, I cherish being their Grandma.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, volunteering, reading a good book, crocheting toys for my grandchildren, and baking goodies to share with family and friends.
I am grateful for the experiences that have shaped my journey and for the opportunities God continues to place before me. I look forward to building new friendships, serving others, and growing in faith as part of the Royse City Methodist Church family!
I’m so happy to be here and look forward to getting to know you all!
