Looking for a volunteer opportunity that involves thrifting, reusing, and recycling? Look no further than The Good Place, a Royse City Methodist Church ministry! Our weekly Sale Saturdays support the Crooked House ministry, providing financial assistance for members of our community and we support the Royse City American Legion Veterans Counseling Program.
Become one of The Good People at The Good Place!
We are staffed completely by volunteers, these Good People share their time and talent to sort and price merchandise, receive donations, stock the sale area, greet customers, sack, and are cashiers on Sale Saturdays.
The Mission and Vision of The Good Place
The Good Place serves the Royse City community by providing a distribution center for used consumer goods to support local missions.
Our list of beneficiaries is long! We support Our Daily Bread families with free vouchers, we host a Children’s Reading Program, giving free books to children, provide goods to Royse City Animal Shelter, Women in Need, God’s Grace Givers, a homeless ministry, Charity Shoes & Clothes, an international ministry that provides to Third World Countries and our list is growing!
We are called as Christians to love our neighbors. We believe that offering our community an affordable, safe, and welcoming environment to shop and serve others helps them feel valued and appreciated. Just a little kindness that can brighten our little corner of the world.
