Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Galatians. 4: 21-31

God of the divine promise. We give you thanks for the covenant that was given to us through Jesus Christ. That covenant that brings us freedom to live as ones who inherit the promises of an eternal, abundant life through Christ. When we feel the draw of the bondage of sin and separation, remind us to live our lives in the freedom of Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

Let us know the love that is of you so we may live lives in your kindness that leads us to repentance. While it may be easy to pass judgment on others, may your grace enable us to do good so we may live in the honor and peace of Jesus Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, is worshiped and glorified. Amen.

Let us not become weary in doing good so the harvest we reap may be good work for the family of believers in Christ. We lift this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

While we may be tempted to gratify the desires of the flesh. We pray that the guiding of the Holy Spirit leads us to live the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Allow that fruit to remind us that we live our lives in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

We give thanks for the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has set us free. Let us fully live in that freedom and totally discard the yoke of slavery in our lives. Let us love our neighbor as ourselves, so we don’t destroy each other with our actions or words. But let us fully live in the example of life given to us by Jesus the Christ. Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

Open our eyes so we can see you in others, so we can share the good news of Jesus Christ in ways that bring life, and also draw people to you. Bring to mind those who are far from you so we can live as an example of your love and grace for them. Allow us to hear your voice so that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we may boldly proclaim Christ to others. We lift this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.
