Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Galatians. 4: 21-31

God of the divine promise. We give you thanks for the covenant that was given to us through Jesus Christ. That covenant that brings us freedom to live as ones who inherit the promises of an eternal, abundant life through Christ. When we feel the draw of the bondage of sin and separation, remind us to live our lives in the freedom of Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

While it may be easy to pass judgment on others, may your grace enable us to do good so we may live in the honor and peace of Jesus Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, is worshiped and glorified. Bring to mind those who are far from you so we can live as an example of your love and grace for them. Allow us to hear your voice so that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we may boldly proclaim Christ to others. We lift this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.
