Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Galatians 6: 11-18

Holy and Loving God, let our boast be only in the cross of Jesus Christ, in which we have been crucified to the world and the world to us. As we live as a part of the new creation, let the peace and mercy that comes from you strengthen us in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

While we may be tempted to gratify the desires of the flesh. We pray that the guiding of the Holy Spirit leads us to live the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Allow that fruit to remind us that we live our lives in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Let us love our neighbor as ourselves, so we don’t destroy each other with our actions or words. But let us fully live in the example of life given to us by Jesus the Christ. Through that faith in Christ, guide us to share your love and fulfill the promises passed on from Abraham so that all people may come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ through us. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
