God of all authority, we may question those who have been placed in governmental power. But let us see that we must pray for them and uphold Christ's commands along the way. Help us to use our words so we don’t do wrong, but help to build up love, justice and peace in our communities and world. We lift this prayer to you in the strong name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Let us look at our brothers and sisters in a way that acknowledges Jesus as Lord of all, and that our witness to him supersedes our personal preferences. We lift this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
